Refined Elements begins with a consultation which can last up to 2 hours. There is a through evaluation of all the bedrooms, living space, bathrooms, closets, basement, storage, garage, front and backyards. From there suggestions and recommendations are distributed. We advise on enhancing the home's selling features, creating a better space flow by rearranging furniture, and also cleaning and simplifying the whole house room by room.

At the end of the consultation the client has a complete understanding and knowledge where the target areas are in terms of fixes, upgrades, clutter removal and more. Janette can assist with the whole or partial project or the homeowner can do the work entirely on their own. There is a set fee for the consultation and a smaller hourly fee after that.

We understand that everyone may have a limited budget and we try our very best to maintain that in focus. Home staging is inexpensive and everyone can afford to have their home staged prior to selling. In most cases it is a half day's job.

Many personal items are often packed away which declutters your home instantly. For homes that are smaller we need to maximize the space and we recommend renting smaller scale furniture, or removing some pieces you already own into storage. Renting furniture is also great for empty rooms and vacant homes.

For major clutter removal, thorough house cleaning, complete interior painting and extreme organization we recommend a team of professionals who specialize in just those areas. We also do personal shopping with or without you for key items in your home such as linens, draperies, accessories, furniture and more where you will receive a designer discount. After your home has sold you can keep all items purchased or return them back to the stores for a refund. We give you the receipts for all items that are purchased from your budget.

Once you decide to have your home staged, we focus on many refinements to make your home stand out. We highlight your home's selling features from hardwood floors or ceramic tiles, improve a kitchen or bathroom, add window treatments and accents if needed, do paint touchups, remove wall paper if needed and overall add a pleasant and inviting ambiance. For larger projects we recommend a team of tradesmen who specialize in specific areas.
